Our 1st & 2nd year boys gave a great account of themselves at an ETB blitz in Castlebar recently. The boys won 5 out of 5 games against teams from Lacken, Tourmakeady, Davitt College, Foxford, and Swinford. Well done lads 💪🏼🏐

Fintan Friel is the current Artist in Residence at the Heinrich Boll Cottage. He visited Coláiste Pobail Acla last week to screen his presentation 'West of Ireland Aesthetic' to our fifth year students. After lively questions and discussions, students were treated to selection of his work. Thank you to Fintan for giving his time to engage with the students. Thanks also to the Heinrich Boll Association for their continued support of our school.

Last Thursday our Under 14 girls played St. Tiernan’s of Crossmolina in a highly competitive and exciting encounter. It was tit for tat throughout, with both teams trading scores. At half-time we trailed by two points, though we were unlucky not to be four points ahead after striking the crossbar twice. In the second half, the girls came out strong once again, creating some lovely scores through excellent teamwork and skill. Despite hitting the crossbar on two more occasions, they kept up the momentum and edged into a one-point lead. Unfortunately, in the dying minutes we conceded a penalty, resulting in a draw.

Overall, it was a fantastic game and an excellent display from the girls, providing plenty of positives and a great opportunity to build for the future.
