Leaving Certificate Talk: HEAR and DARE Access Schemes

Senior students recently attended an informative talk on the HEAR (Higher Education Access Route) and DARE (Disability Access Route to Education) schemes, delivered by an Access Officer from the University of Galway. The eligibility criteria, application process, and documentation requirements were explained. Students learned how HEAR and DARE can help reduce entry points for college courses and provide ongoing academic and personal supports once enrolled.

How to Collaborate at the Linenhall Arts Centre

Two lucky Fifth year students, Isabelle Mc Nea and Caoimhe Cooney, had the opportunity of working with legendary Mayo musicians, cellist Patrick Dexter and harper Claire O'Donnell (pictured above).

The students worked with these seasoned performers for a day, exploring creativity, genre and performance. According to the girls, it was a truly exhilarating and inspiring event.

The students then took part in a fascinating Creative Coffee event with multi instrumentalist and award winning composer, Michael Gallen.
