On Wednesday, 10 September Iseult Mangan from Teen-Turn spoke with all Junior Cycle & Senior Cycle girls about the programs, activities and supports on offer to our students through Teen Turn.

Teen Turn aims to provide teen girls with the opportunity to gain hands-on STEM experience so that they can visualize themselves in those kinds of careers and therefore make third level course choices accordingly.

Teen Turn offers students huge opportunities through such things as after school activities, work placements, mentoring, alumnae networking and career development programming.



Yesterday, Thursday, 11 September Helena from Cyber Safe Kids spoke with all students from First Year to Transition Year (inclusive) about a variety of topics (as appropriate to each year group).

Helena also spoke with parents / guardians yesterday evening to help raise awareness of what young people are doing online and the associated risks and safeguards. The sessions provided information and guidance on platforms teenagers use, digital literacy and wellbeing, and the inherent risks of being online - oversharing and privacy, cyberbullying, sexting, grooming and digital footprint.

As always, our students were respectful, polite and engaged during these talks, which was wonderful to see.
