Heinrich Boll Award Arrives in Coláiste Pobail Acla

Award winners of the Heinrich Boll 2025 essay competition gathered in the glorious sunshine today, to see the beautiful Heinrich Boll Trophy up close. The Ronan Halpin designed piece, will be inscribed with the names of this year's winners, Isabel Cafferkey and Kayla Connaghan.

Congratulations to all recipients of awards and once again sincere thanks to the Heinrich Boll Committee for their continued support of Coláiste Pobail Acla.

Art Exhibit in Knock Airport

Third Year student Conor Kilbane has created a wonderful aviation themed piece of work with his art teacher Kate Callaghan. It was selected for exhibition at Knock Airport for the month of May. Conor travelled to Knock to see his work on display and was met by Collette Concannon, Ryanair Ground Manager and Pearse Concannon, Head of Security and Fire Safety Officer. Conor is one if the first visitors to inspect the new state of the art fire station at the airport. Huge thanks for all involved in making Conor's visit so memorable.

Today at Coláiste Pobail Acla we held our school awards where we gave recognition to our students who have excelled throughout the school year.

Our awards are presented on the basis of a student’s academic achievements, sporting endeavours and overall contribution to our local community.
