Our students had an eventful day as we had bog snorkelling, surfing, healthy snacks provided at lunch time by Ms Patten and her TY's, while our Big Brother Big Sister group had a fun afternoon of games in Achill Sound Hall 💪🏄‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Well-Being week is up and running in Coláiste Pobail Acla!

This year we are focusing on the importance of movement and how it can benefit our mental, physical and emotional health. We have set up a club on the Strava app - CPA Movetober- for our students to track and monitor their own movement throughout the month - there are posters in school with the details needed to join.

Today our 1st Year students went on a retreat to Knock, while our Leaving Cert students took a break from their studies to go surfing in the afternoon.

There are lots of other events organised throughout the week including bog snorkelling, swimming, breathing workshops, healthy snacks at break time, break time music, rugby skills, a variety of PE competitions, a "Guess the Teacher from the baby photos" competition for the students, and a Teachers vs. 6th years football game on Friday.

Our U16 girls GAA team made the long spin to Headford this morning for their first league game. Although the result didn't go their way this time, it was great to see so many of our girls involved. Well done all. Achill LGFA
