South Mayo School Completion Programme
The School Completion Programme (SCP) is a part of the new integrated service of the NEWB (National Education & Welfare Board) of Tusla, which aims to have a positive impact on levels of pupil attendance, participation and retention in primary and secondary level schools and on the number of pupils who successfully complete the senior cycle.
The programme provides supports in school, afterschool and during holiday time e.g. individual support, group work, class activities, mentoring, study groups and summer camps. SCP strives to enhance and encourage each student’s participation in school by these supports to help them improve their attendance, participation and retention in school.
