Coláiste Pobail Acla held a very successful Wellbeing week in March. It was a very successful week enjoyed by all. It gave us the opportunity to take time out and reflect on the importance of all aspects of wellbeing in our everyday lives.
Our Wellbeing Week included a series of activities such as; mindfulness meditation, exercise classes, a breakfast morning and a whole school walk on the Great Western Greenway to finish off the week.
A very important aspect of our wellbeing is “giving back” to others. On Tuesday students took part in a ‘Clean Coasts’ initiative and accompanied by teachers we took time out to help clean up our local beaches. On Wednesday students took part in the Trocaire sign up sign out challenge and raised a very impressive €850.
A number of talks and workshops also took place throughout the week including mindspace, Enhance your life by Alan Williams and Gillian Conway from the Drugs and Alcohol Task Force.
The week was organised by Ms. Shannon, Ms. Connolly and the Wellbeing Committee.
